How it works today

We work directly with you for your auto glass service.

For first-party private-passenger auto claims, Georgia’s fair-settlement rules say an insurer pays according to the policy and deductible, while the insured may choose the place of repair and pay any difference if the selected shop costs more. The same rules also say an insurer generally may not require a particular repair business when equivalent work is available at the same cost.See Georgia Rule 120-2-52 .

That does not make every charge automatically covered. Your policy, deductible, claim decision, and any documented cost difference still matter. At this time, customers pay Interstate Auto Glass GA directly under their approved estimate; we provide the paid invoice and available service records for you to use with your insurer. Clear estimates, payment records, and service documentation help you trust each step of the process.

A simple process

Five steps for using insurance with your auto glass service.

Every policy is different. These steps help you protect your options, understand payment, and avoid surprises before your appointment.

  1. 01

    Request your estimate

Send your vehicle details, the damaged glass, service location, and photos when available.

  2. 02

    Review your policy

Ask about glass coverage, deductible, any claim number, pre-inspection, authorization, and reimbursement process.

  3. 03

    Confirm any requirements

Follow written claim instructions before service. Do not assume an estimate, approval, or reimbursement amount without confirmation from your insurer.

  4. 04

    Schedule and pay directly

Review and approve your estimate, schedule service, and pay Interstate Auto Glass GA directly. We do not currently bill every insurer directly.

  5. 05

    Use your documentation

Keep your paid invoice, estimate, and service documentation. Submit or discuss them with your insurer according to its claim process.

Insurance & payment FAQ

Helpful answers before you schedule.

Can I choose Interstate Auto Glass GA if I plan to use insurance?

Yes. You can choose Interstate Auto Glass GA for your service. Contact your insurer before scheduling to understand its requirements for coverage, claims, approval, and reimbursement.

Do you bill my insurance company directly?

Not at this time. Customers pay Interstate Auto Glass GA directly under their approved estimate and can use their paid invoice and service records when speaking with their insurer.

Will insurance cover my entire bill?

Coverage depends on your policy, deductible, claim decision, and insurer requirements. Interstate Auto Glass GA cannot guarantee coverage or reimbursement.

What should I have ready when requesting an estimate?

Please have your vehicle year, make, model, VIN when available, damaged glass details, service ZIP code, and photos of the damage if you can provide them.

What if my insurer's estimate is lower than my estimate?

Ask for a copy of the insurer's written estimate and share it with us. For applicable first-party private-passenger claims, Georgia Rule 120-2-52 says an insurer’s written estimate should support workmanlike repairs that restore the vehicle’s preaccident quality, safety, function, and appearance. If a necessary written repair estimate is higher, the rule describes the insurer’s review and response process.

What if I cannot resolve a claim question with my insurer?

Start with your insurer or claims representative. If you still cannot resolve the issue, the Georgia Office of the Commissioner of Insurance provides a consumer complaint process and explains the information it needs to review a complaint.
