Chevy Express rear door glass replacement

The rear doors on a work van are part of the vehicle’s everyday loading and security routine, so the replacement had to preserve more than appearance. On this Chevy Express, the broken pane sat directly in front of an interior security screen. The glass remnants were removed without disturbing that screen, and the steel door opening was checked for debris, damaged edge material, or anything that could interfere with the new pane. Access was different from a conventional liftgate because the glass belongs to one hinged cargo door. The replacement therefore had to sit evenly within a smaller framed opening while maintaining clearance around the latch side, trim, and screen. After installation, the split rear door was cycled through its normal swing, with special attention to latch-side clearance and the view through the security screen. The finished pane was then inspected from the cargo floor and from behind the van so the Express could return to loading, deliveries, and tool transport without loose fragments, rattling glass, or interference at the door edge.
